NO STITCHING

For anyone who has followed my blog for any length of time you know that I spent most of 2015 fighting to get the short-term rental industry's mini-hotels out of residential zones.  These are properties that are used solely for providing commercial lodging.  No one lives there.  They create a nuisance in the area and add nothing to the community.  We won here in ATX.  Well, the Texas Legislature is poised to overturn the laws of all cities in Texas protecting us from this invasion.  If you live anywhere in Texas and don't want a hotel next door, you had better get on the stick to call your senator and house rep.

What I wish I was going to stitch on instead of heading to Kinko's to make packets for our state lege:

Kelly Clark's Welcome Home Sampler

Last weekend one of the SWANs took us to the loveliest place in the Texas Hill Country.   It's a beautiful place called Boot Ranch.  Gorgeous scenery with lots of visiting, eating and stitching.  There was touring and walking as well.  I took this cutie and did a little stitching. I stitched the gray area at the bottom using two strands of cotton floss using the open continental stitch.
