Darling 3-D Easter House

A couple of the SWANs have stitched this cutie.  I think it is by Susan Roberts.

3D French Castle from Squiggee

My fellow SWAN, DF, and I bought this same canvas months if not years ago.  She has stitched it so beautifully.  I can't wait to do mine!

Kelly Clark Welcome Friends Sampler

I tried this new stitch on the left hand hill.  I think it's a cute stitch but I don't think it works quite right here.  I frogged it.

I restitched it using the same Mountain Stitch #35 from the Landscape Stitch book.  I stitched the light green hill in Nobuko.  I am not pleased with the way it looks.  I feel another frogging coming on.

Sunday WIP

I can't show you this Sunday's WIP since it is my Secret Swan ornament.  It's almost finished!  Here are just a few of my other WIP's.  I am so bad about buying a canvas and starting before finishing the others!

Kelly Clark Welcome Friends Sampler Post #3

I stitched the left side green hill in Mountain Stitch #30 from the Landscape Stitch book.  It's a really cute stitch but looks more like shrubbery to me.

More Welcome Friends Sampler by Kelly Clark

I found the perfect stitch for this little hill.  Mountain stitch #35 from the Stitch Landscape book.  I used two strands of cotton floss.  So happy with it!

Kelly Clark Welcome Friends Sampler

I got this adorable canvas for Christmas.  I can't believe I held off for as long as I did to start stitching on it.  I started with reverse scotch at the bottom using three strands of cotton floss.  The blue is my new shade of blue.  It's DMC 924.

Turquoise Halloween Witch from Painted Pony

She is done!

Overview

Fuzzy pic of hat detail
I stitched the brim using vertical straight stitches following the paint.  I used Flair and went over the area twice.  I struggled with the painted buckle.  I finally decided to stitch over it.  To keep the band from being a big band of color I added the sequin and bead detail.  I am not 100% over the moon about it but I am happy for now.  I might look around Joann's or The Needle Works to see if there is anything more interesting to put there.

Kitty Witch Angel from Painted Pony

I want the entire collection of Halloween Angels from Painted Pony!  Right now I have to be content to have the Kitty Witch Angel and the Turquoise Halloween Angel.  I will feature Miss Turquoise in my next post.

Overview
I satin stitched her hat using Black Flair.  I went upright on the brim and diagonally on the body of the hat.  A little light tent stitching for under the brim.  I used four strands of cotton floss for the hair.  I used four strands of pink silk for the pink in her cheeks.

I satin stitched the wings following the paint.  The diagonal direction is to the right on the right wind and vice versa on the left wing.  I used my new favorite wing stitch.  You may remember it from my Owl Angel.  I will cover the green dots with beads.

Still Planting Grass at The White Farm

I keep going and going.  I need more thread.  I am using an overdyed thread and trying to keep the color true to the paint.  More gold is needed.  Off to The Needle Works!

I am still stitching away on the front field.  Maybe I can show a finished field tomorrow.  Take a look at some past finishes below.  Have a happy Wednesday!
