You are my sunshine

Custom ornament

A fellow Swan and her sister stitched six of these ornaments.  Sadly, they had a dear friend die and the friend's favorite song was "You are My Sunshine".  They gave each of her children and her sister an ornament.  They also kept one each for themselves.  What a tribute.

One of our relatively new Swans is working on this.  I took a picture of it on Wednesday and when I downloaded it, it was sideways.  Finally figured out how to turn it upright.  Isn't it festive?

I love, love, love this tree.  I was petrified to stitch the trunk never having done this stitch before.  I think it turned out pretty well for a first timer.  I am using a stitch guide done by Amy Bunger at Amy's Golden Strand in Memphis, Tennessee.  It is available on her website.
