As Dolly Partonesque as I am in appearance, I don't like a lot of bling on most of my needlepoint.  I love the overdyed metallic around the green area of the roof.  Here I think I will use a metallic #8 that matches the gold of the shingles.  This fantastic canvas by Melissa Shirley was stitched using a complete guide by Amy Bunger of Amy's Golden Strand.  I LOVE it.  I can't wait to move on to the walls.
