More carroty

Overview

I took out that pink stripe.  I love that stitch that Carolyn Baird taught me but just didn't like it here.  The new one is more carroty whatever that means..  I just need the perfect shade of green to put in the two little stitches on this Milanese Variation.

 Topped off my baby carrots and stitched the pale aqua stripe.  I am not completely satisfied with how it looks but not frogging yet.

 I think the deep pink stripe and the green I have look too Christmasy.

I finished the reverse scotch down the middle.  I herringboned the pale yellow stripe.  I did a skipped tent with two strands of silk behind the carrots.  Tent stitching the yellow line when I realized it was time for bed!

Wednesday is a stitching day

There hasn't been any stitching the last two days but I am going to meet the Swans today.  I will be taking the following:

 I am still not happy with that background stitch.  Am I crazy enough to tear it all out?

These are the unfinished pieces to my Heartstrings nativity set.  I also have a very generous gift certificate that my sweet neighbor gave me for taking care of her kitty.  I will be looking around for something to splurge on!  Happy Stitching!
