Better late than never, right? My kids went to Peru together the day after Christmas last year. It's our family tradition to buy or make an ornament for every place we go. Here's the one for their trip to Peru.

The SWAN Christmas Party 2019
Another fabulous party on the books! Every year our Society of Women Addicted to Needlepoint(SWANs) have a Christmas party where we exchange ornaments that we have stitched for each other. This year the party was at my home and it could not have been more fun. Delicious food, delightful companionship and the cutest ornaments.

What Have I Been Up To?
Hi, everyone. I haven't posted much lately since I am cross stitching. I did go to Barbara's Needlepoint Retreat in early October. I absolutely loved it. I flew to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, all by myself. It was deliciously cold and rainy when I arrived. It had been so hot for so long here that I was thrilled to pull out sweaters and socks to pack.
Anyway, it was all so grand. Barbara and her staff could not have been nicer or more accomodating. I took some studio time from Carolyn Baird at the shop on Wednesday. I took Thursday off from classes to have a look around the city. They did have an open table to stitch at during the classes so I went there at lunch time to hang out and eat.
Speaking of eating, we had the most delicious food the entire week. You could partake in as much or as little as you like. It was fabulous.
Friday and Saturday I took a class from Carolyn Baird which I will post tomorrow. I also bought a stitch guide and kit from one of the classes that was going on but that I chose not to attend in order to have my free day.

So cute, right? This was so quick and fun that I might order the other three. You can order the guide and canvas or canvases from Barbara's Needlepoint. The number is 605-3679050.
In case you are wondering what the cross stitch project is, here you go:

A Whole Month????
I can't believe it's been a whole month since I posted. I am so sorry about that. I have been stitching away on my Secret Santa ornament and that project should be completed tonight. I can't post any of it until after it is given in December. While I was waiting on the thread I needed to finish that secret project, I pulled out this girl.
She's from Painted Pony Needlepoint Designs and I call her Kitty Witch. She has been in time out for a long while. So long, in fact, that I don't remember what the white thread is on the wings. That will take an investigative trip to The Needle Works to figure out. Wish me luck. In the meantime I stitched her sleeves with Neon Rays in a scotch variation. All stitch selections are mine.
