I have been asked to post the Painted Pony Queen of Hearts from beginning to end all in one place. Here we go!

Gold stitches on the coat done in Kreinik #8 |
You can't really see it in the picture, but the trim of the coat is the Long Arm Cross in Kreinik #8.

More of the coat |
The body of the coat was stitched with stranded silk in basketweave. I used a ribbon to make the long stitches that create the diamond pattern.

I stitched the background with Splendor in basketweave. I did the Rhodes stitch on the hearts and the strap stitch where the gold is.
|
Dress |
I stitched the red and white stripes in satin stitch wiwth stranded silk. The maroon part is stranded silk and Neon Rays. However, I did not like this.

I stitched the black part only of the collar. I left the white paint showing through. The sleeves were done in basketweave with stranded silk.

Done |
I did add a dome around the crown for the finisher. I put a T-stitching in there to make it easier to finish as an ornament.

Back from the finishers |
I loved her from the moment I saw her. I really enjoyed stitching this one. I hope you do, too!
