It may have been a slightly old picture - but just in case - in the picture of the elf (just below the tree pic) he has a small unstitched area of leg. Grab him back and fill him in!!! Gorgeous work - so much detail.
Hi Steph, Fabulous stocking. You are really stitching up a storm. Cannot wait to see the stocking hanging up for Christmas. Looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks. Linda
Brava, Stephanie! It's been fun watching the progression! I just love the Antlers of Memory thread. Totes Adorbs! as my 12 yr. old daughter, Grace would say! If it took you 2 years, I would never even begin to attempt a stocking! I did Applique-work for out first set, and hung little needlepoint ornaments with their initials on them from a big button, and Wool Felt Applique for our 2nd set!(I LOVE Stockings!) Congrats! Kelly PS. I am thinking on your pear expansion suggestion...shoot me an e-mail with more thoughts!
Thank you! I would love to see your stockinga! Post them some time, please! We are on a pear kick here and would love to see other holidays. Some thing for our Halloween trees, our Easter trees, and our Fourth of July trees. The Swans are full of trees.
Wow, M is going to have a new stocking this year! Beautiful work, Steph. I'm in awe of your stitch work. Bravo!!! I hear you are celebrating B-Days this week. ;-) No stitching, just eating.........Have fun........Sarah
Thank you, one and all. It was actually three years in the making. OOPS! One of the many downsides of menopause, memory failure. I hope my girl has been good so we can fill this up. xoxo Steph

ReplyDeleteCan I ask what the name of the blue stitch? The sky part?
ReplyDeleteI don't remember. It looks like a Milanese variation. I know it's silk and Kreinik for the threads.
