Block Five |
I bought this chart in Williamsburg when the Swans visited. I went a little crazy buying charts, but I do love the look of these samplers. I will say after working on a counted thread project, needlepoint stitches seem to move like lightning.
Ahh, Williamsburg! Was kind of disappointed when C thought William & Mary was too big for her. Would have loved getting to visit the area multiple times over her college career.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sampler. Can't imagine doing counted cross-stitch!
Wm. and Mary would have been lovely. I can't believe I am doing counted cross-stitch. I love these samplers and one day in the far distant future, it will make a great wall hanging.
DeleteHow curious, I pulled out my counted cross stitch last night. I'm on the home stretch with the MS Santa and wanted to get my next project ready to work on. A fall sampler that I started over a year ago won the draw! Gotta get it finished to enjoy this season. Like you, I do like the look of these samplers, but counting the little threads of the linen is getting more and more difficult for my eyes.
ReplyDeleteI like this piece! I notice it is Block Five. What will you do with these blocks?
It is a large piece by Carriage House Samplings. The blocks are all together each one depicting some component of village life. I am plugging away. Can't wait to see yours.
Deletelove the colors in this block! beautiful work!
