Another try, one with two plies and the left with one |
I thank you all for your suggestions. I tried this double hungarian and I am liking it more and more. It might be a little busy. I am still thinking about it.
Hi Steph,
ReplyDeleteMy choice is the picture one and two. I think that is sky stitch #11 in landscape book and I really like that one for the sky. My personal opinion, in the last picture, is that the wavey lines keeps you from being able to doing a stitch like that for your hilly area. I'm sure it will be beautiful no matter what you do.
Thanks. It is really growing on me. Makes me really appreciate the stitch guide writers.
DeleteI like the newest sky stitch. It echoes the shape of the trees a bit. Maybe if you took a ply away it would help lighten the stitch further and it wouldn't look so busy?
ReplyDeleteJust a thought. Like Diane, I'm sure whatever you choose would be beautiful. (And you have no idea how many stitches we stitch guide writers try before settling on The One.)
Seeing you post this gives me courage to both try new stitches and rip out ones I don't like (instead of just pushing on to finish, which has been my tendency). Love the new sky!
ReplyDeleteThanks. If it is staying here, I will rip a hundred times because I won't be able to live with it otherwise(remember the Thanksgiving House roof?).
DeleteI like the thread color, love the stitch and think the coverage with what looks like 2 strands is just right.
ReplyDeleteI like it! I agree with Jane that you might want to try 1 less ply and see how that looks. I always want the paint to do a lot of the work!
ReplyDeleteI think I will try the one ply. I am back to my Christmas stuff today. I have 16 days for two must do's and one hope I can get it done! Everyone else finished??/
ReplyDeleteI am done for this Christmas.this is not to say that I have done everything I should/wanted to do.
ReplyDeletelike the one in the first picture
