The biggest bestest baddest party of the year was yesterday. We were treated to the beautiful new home of our fellow Swan. It is just gorgeous.

Beautiful vignettes everywhere |
The most clever idea for her collection of Nutcrackers. She put them on a Lazy Susan with nuts.

Isn't this wonderful? |
After our delicious lunch, we had the gift exchange.

Merry Christmas!
Thank you for taking us to the party. It was lovely and so is all the stitching! Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. Wish you all could be there.
DeleteThank you for sharing the photos. I have to say that the Christmas Garden piece (which looks like it was cross stitch) was a piece that just jumped out at me. Any chance you might be able to track down info on that piece for me?
ReplyDeleteYes, I can ask the stitcher. Most of us cross-stitch as well as needlepoint.
DeleteObviously fabulous party and fabulous SWAN stitchers! Which ornament did you bring and which did you take home?
ReplyDeleteI stitched the bell-shaped Woodland Santa by Melissa Shirley for Donna. And my wonderful ornament stitched by Stacy is the three dimensional Nativity. I love it! Merry Christmas, y'all!
DeleteHi Steph,
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful Christmas party. What beautiful ornaments all the Swans stitched. I love them all.
Merry Christmas.
Linda
Fun to see all of them finished and gifted! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tradition. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful group! I need one here so that I can get some of my own stitching done. I miss it but I love having the store! I have met so many wonderful people and it teaches me something new every day from stitching lessons to life lessons. Merry Christmas to all you SWANS!
ReplyDeleteThank you all. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great group of friends. I'm sure we all had a needlepoint group that we belonged too. Beautiful ornaments.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous Stephanie! Is 'Swans' the name of a stitching group?
ReplyDeleteWe started out very formally as The Society of Women Addicted to Needlepoint. It has morphed in to the "Swans". Merry Christmas!
DeleteWhat beautiful ornaments and talented stitchers! You are so fortunate to have such a large group of stitching friends. Do you draw names and then stitch a special ornament for that person or do you bring a stitched ornament and everyone gets to choose one? Sounds like so much fun and everyone goes home with a special ornament. Merry Christmas, Stephanie!!
ReplyDeleteWe draw names. I can't wait to get that special ornament for next year's receipient. Merry Christmas to you!
DeleteI want to be a SWAN.........so jealous!
ReplyDeleteIf you are looking at this page, you are a SWAN member. Stands for Society of Woment Addicted to Needlepoint. We started over 10 yrs ago with a small number and have grown to 12. We meet regularly at our LNS on Wednesdays. It is fun, fun, fun.
