Pandemic Project - Day 6

Good morning! I stitched the steps in contrasting colors of overdyed floss.  Reverse elongated continental for the steps edge.  It's the vertical satin stitch for the rising part of the steps.  I also stitched the railing using size 8 Kreinik in the Trame stitch.

Pandemic Project - Day 5

Good morning!  I stitched the gates using Kreinik size 8 metallic in the Trame stitch.  The cross bars are done in cross stitch using the same thread.  Happy Stitching!

Pandemic Project - Day 4

I stitched the bushes between the houses in the T-stitch using one strand of Wildflowers.  The front bush is a bit lighter in color so you can see the difference.  It's just a little textured for the bushes.

I hope you are all sheltering in place and staying safe.  Happy Stitching!

Pandemic Project - Day 2

This cute house on the right of the canvas is stitched using the perfect color of overdyed cotton.  The stitch guide from Amy Bunger calls for using two strands for the slanted gobelin stitch.

Pandemic Project - Townhouse Row by Diane Ulmer Pedersen from Painted Pony Needlepoint Designs

I bought this canvas by Diane Ulmer Pedersen from Painted Pony Needlepoint Designs at a trunk show that The Needle Works had.  I had been wanting it forever and decided to buy it for my Mother's Day present to me.  I ordered the stitch guide and threads from Amy Bunger at amybunger.com and had it all packed and ready to present to myself on the big day.

Change of plans.  The pandemic came and I thought to help in the teeny tiniest way by blogging again to distract us all from our worries.  I've been stitching away on my giant cross stitch sampler but somehow that is not so interesting to post.  Anyway, here we go:

More to follow tomorrow!  Happy Sheltering in Place!  Love you all!

What's on the 20 in 2020 List

My problem is I  start everything I buy.  I do finish stuff but not as quickly and efficiently as I would like.  What's a needlepointer to do?

This is adorable canvas is almost done.  I have to stitch the bushes and the bottom panel of grass.

Hart Hunt by Diane Ulmer Pedersen from Painted Pony Needlepoint

Painted Pony angels are among my favorites.  These two are so close.

Kitty Angel from Painted Pony
I can't say how long I have had this Ewe and Eye piece.  I really can't remember.  I just love it and like all the others languishing in the closet,  I still want to finish it.

Coming Home from Ewe and Eye

I finished most of the other pieces from this set and really want to send them out for finishing.  Come on, camel!

Camel from Heartstrings Nativity
Another quickie that could be done and one of my few St. Paddy's day ornaments.   Get on with it!
3-D House Shamrock House from Squiggee

Three French Hens from Shelly Tribbey

Are You Playing 20 in 20?

I am!  Finish 20 projects in 2020.  I am currently stitching away on this monster.  It takes a yard of linen.  No kidding.  The linen is 36" by 54".  I am going to count each page of the chart that I finish as one project towards my goal of completing 20 in 20.  Sound good?

Others that should make the top of the list to complete(because I am so damn close) are:

Kitty Witch from Painted Pony

Owl Angel from Painted Pony

Halloween Kitty from Melissa Shirley

I AM NOT EMBARRASSED

Maybe I should be that my Christmas tree is still up but I love it so.  I am starting to take it down but here's why it is so hard to do.  I collect nativity sets and ornaments.  Below is a sampling of the many that I have.
