Madame Camel redressed

Completed first layer with Burmilana

Second layer is three strands of overdyed cotton for the two long stitches
I like the open nubby look of the wool without the second layer better.

Carefully picked out all the cotton on the right side

  1. I love your stitching. The stitch selection, execution, rethinking and re-execution always seem right on the mark, and provide an ongoing education in elegant needlepoint. Thanks for maintaining a blog and for your willingness to share. Best wishes, Robin in Indiana

  3. I agree with you--the addition of the second layer seemed to flatten the stitches. Now they have more texture. Good call. Love reading your blog!
