Got something new!

My sweet neighbor gave me a gift certificate to The Needleworks for babysitting her cute kitty.  I bought this beautiful scissor case.  This will be my basketweave piece.  I love it!

Finally finished!

I finally finished my secret SWAN  ornament.   I put it up to take to the finisher and pulled this out.  All I got done was to outline the brick but I am thrilled to be stitching for fun now!

I am desperately trying to finish that since the deadline has come and gone.  I hope my finisher will take pity on me!

Halloween is nearly here.  I wish I had some of these Squiggee houses for Halloween.  I have other holidays but none of the cute ones shown below.  Stitched by my fellow Swans.

Melissa Shirley's Halloween Parade

Amy's Home Study for this year is Melissa Shirley's Halloween Parade.  It is so awesome.  The stitch selections are incredible.  One of our group bought it but I won't say who!  

My trip to Memphis was so much fun!

As always I had the best time in Memphis.  Amy is so talented and so much fun.  Dear Jill is back at the store so things could not have been better.  Here's a little of what I took.

SORRY!

I am sorry I came back and disappeared again.  I got sick.  I am beginning to wonder if the universe is against me stitching.  I don't think so since I am going to Amy's on Thursday!  I can't wait.  Why do I go to Amy's?  Because I love her and Jill and all the other wonderful people I have met in Memphis.  Also because her stitching ideas are incredible.

Drat!

I picked up my Secret Swan piece and saw that all the stitching I did the other night was off kilter!  Wish me luck this time around.  It's actually below 90 here in Austin.  Happy Fall!
