I chose this stitch and the thread for the grass around the house. It is from that wonderful book, Stitch Landscape. I love that book. I have used it so much in the short time that I have had it. I highly recommend it.

Sharon-It is Grass 23 and I used an overdyed thread called Endive. I gave it away to my friend, but think it is a Sampler Thread. Good luck with your grass.

I'm going to try out grass 23 in the canvas margin right now. My grass needs a few colors as it changes across the canvas. I think this stitch will make it easy to shade.
