Bad News, Very Bad News
Someone is stealing Painted Pony Designs and converting them to cross stitch charts. You can see them on Pinterest. It looks like it is someone in Russia. They are also creating angels and blatantly copying Debbie's style. If you happen to see one of these on Pinterest, please don't repin it. I commented on everyone that I saw that this is stealing. So disturbing.

It's awful but we decided on NP Nation not to mention it because that just sends more folks to Pinterest to download the stolen information. I feel so badly for Painted Pony!

DeleteThis site obviously copies a huge amount of copyrighted material and many people pin an repin stuff from them. I hadn't seen these charts, up until now I have only seen copies of printed books.
ReplyDeleteIf I ever se "gallery.ru" in the caption or as the source of a pin, I do not repin and others should do the same.
I'm not sure what else we can do beyond publicizing this because I believe our copyright rules do not apply to Russia.
