Can you believe all these were done by one Swan in the last few months? G is one of our most prolific finishers. We are all prolific stitchers, but not all prolific finishers. I heard a rumor that work is underway to keep the Petei line going. I hope this is true because after seeing these I want them all!
Purple Skier Santa |
My one and only Petei Santa that is presentable. All of these Peteis, G's and mine, were stitched with guides from The French Knot in Fort Worth, TX.

Here is what is next for Miss G!
I love these and am amazed at the variety of stitches and threads used to bring such small pieces to life! I have recently bought my first Petei, an Eagle Scout. I got it from a fellow stitcher in The Neelepoint Group on Facebook. It is wonderful and I know I will enjoy stitching it! I hope the line continues.
ReplyDeleteThe Santa pieces are amazing and the stitch selections really make the pieces standout. Thank you for sharing these. I have been a Petei fan since the early 1990's. Her work is extensive and expressive. I am so sorry to learn that she has health problems. I too am hopeful that someone will carry on her legacy!
ReplyDeleteif that rumor is true girl i will devote 2013 to petei! these are beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteLet's all keep our fingers crossed that someone will buy the line. Mrs. Bloom, I bet The French Knot in Fort Worth, TX, has a stitch guide for that Boy Scout. Their guides are $3-12 for those Peteis.
ReplyDeleteThey're all wonderful ... it will be a shame if the line doesn't continue.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. I have a small stash of Santas and I am going to do One a year as stand ups. I love her canvases. Ann, if French Knot doesn't have a stitch guide, try PFOS.
ReplyDeleteI've stitched many of Petei's small figures over the years and have some waiting in my basket to be stitched. I do hope someone will continue with this line. I know you're happy the belt is complete! ~ Sarah
