Progress on the Thanksgiving House Roof

Cleaned up

Started the outline while sitting in my car during my son's tennis lesson.  It was boiling hot and I had to turn my old car off periodically so it didn't over heat.  Not prime conditions for needlepoint.

Here's how far I got on Saturday at 1pm  :

I am out of the middle shade of gray.  I will get some next week at The Needle Works.  Now on to:

Red Magi from Heartstrings

I don't have the exact colors the stitch guide calls for.  I am thinking of making do....

  1. You are starting to stitch with Palma speed. That is great roof progress. I would make do on the red magi-- the colors look great that you show with the piece.

  3. Commando stitching! The colors you have are beautiful! Are you eventually going to get the rest of this nativity? It is adorable! I know you will wait until after you have stitched other things as per your agreement. By the way, your agreement is being very inspirational to me!

    1. Yes, I am. And they do not fall under the challenge agreement so they will be trickling in. Glad to be of inspiration.

  4. You have me almost convinced that I need to do this Heartstrings series. I think out off all of them, I like these the best. Can't wait to see it stitched.
