Trying to recover

Trying to get back in to the swing of things.  Betsy is helping.   I have finished her bonnet except for the edging which needs to be added after she gets her hairdo.

TADAH!!!  Back from the finishers.  Christmas stocking by Rebecca Wood from The Needle Works in Austin, TX.  Stitch guide by Amy Bunger of Amy's Golden Strand in Memphis, TN.  The finish was done by Kim Hollifield.  I love it!  Thank you all.  I couldn't have done it without you.

Special lining
I went to The Needle Works on Wednesday and stitched on Mary.  I met Lisa R. and her precious puppy, Dagwood.  I like them both.

I am filling in the sleeve with the silk I found to match.
Underskirt
I am wondering if the woven stitch is right for this area.  She has pretty busy clothing already.  I don't really like the satin stitch.  Hmmm....

Flag
There was a little more stitching on the flag last night.  I am finding the shading a little tricky, but through trial and error, I am getting it.

  1. We must soldier on! Betsy looks wonderful! A stitch to consider for the underskirt is fern. Just a thought. Now, the stocking, fabulous! I know you are pleased! That finishing is perfect and did not seem to take long at all! I know you are thrilled!
