Don't forget me!

Arabian Magi by Kelly Clark

This fellow needs to be added to the list of canvases to be completed before I buy more.  If I accept the challenge!   He came in the mail with all these luscious threads and a stitch guide by Amy Bunger.

  1. Hi Steph,
You can meet the challenge but why should you. Our love for needlepoint is being surrounded by all the wonderful canvases that make us happy. Amy once said in a class that you do not have stitch a canvas to frame it. The beauty of the canvas can stand alone.

    1. So true! There really is no reason to do it except to finish all the beautiful stuff I do have. I am still thinking about it. Getting my girl ready to go back to college, so no stitching here anyway.

  2. Well now, Linda may have a good point. The canvases are works of art before we even begin to stitch. But guess that's not the point, is it? What is M stitching? Is it from your stash or is she going to start her own little needlepoint stash. ;-)
Time for lunch before she heads back to school?.............Sarah

    1. She is stitching a Chi O belt or is supposed to be. Sorry for you to miss each other, but she is going back tomorrow! On a plane. Hard to believe. I hope you and I are on for some time in September.

  3. Hi, Stephanie - have you considered prioritizing your unfinished pieces and working your way through them? From your pictures it seems like you are so close to finishing many of them. Start with the small ones if you need to get yourself into the finishing mindset and then go back to one of your newer projects. I just can't see denying yourself the pleasure you get in the planning and buying of new projects. What do your fellow Swans think about this challenge?

    1. No one has said anything. Most of us have been on vacation the last few weeks and/or dealing with getting kids back to school. Believe it or not, I probably have the smallest stash of them all with the exceptions of the two new ones. I don't think they will be surprised. I like to finish my stuff and it bothers me not to have it done.

  4. Stephanie,

Aren't you going to Amy's in October? Best be careful with the time frame of the challenge! I know how much I added to my stash when I was there. Impossible to resist all the great stuff.

    1. Yes, I am. No doubt I will buy something with my coupon and that is "allowed". And perhaps a gift for someone???
