For Amy

Petei's King of Hearts

I found this fellow in a drawer.  I did the t-stitch in a fine Perle Cotton for the background.  I think he needs to go to a Rent Amy Day.

I pulled out my last Amy class piece.  I haven't stitched on it since I was there.  Best get back to it.  This is Going Home by Ewe and Eye.  The stitch guide is by Amy Bunger.

Can you believe I still have the tree up?  It's coming down today.  Until next year!

  1. First of all, a Rent Amy Day would be fun but you have the knowledge and the technical expertise to stitch that cute little guy yourself. You stitched his queen, didn't you? Secondly, doesn't Amy do wonderful and varied things with trees? I loved the composite stitch on the Thanksgiving House and I love the stitch on the dark green tree! Is it a knot of some sort? Lastly, your tree is beautiful! I know you have enjoyed it!

    1. You always have the nicest things to say. Thank you very much. Yes, I did stitch the Queen, but he has stumped me for some reason. Amy is wonderful. Those are colonial knots on the tree in the most luscious color of green.
We have a fake tree due to allergies around here. We can leave it up forever. One year we took it down on Valentine's Day! Have a wonderful day, dear friend!

love a good primitive folk art scene, don't you?!

  4. Hi Steph,
Oh, how beautiful your Christmas tree looks! It is always sad to put everything away.
I just love the Ewe &Eye piece that you did at Amy's. So glad that you picked it up again. Sorry to say I have not touched my piece since I have been home.

    1. I do love my tree and now I have to admit that I didn't take it down. The SWANs are coming here Wednesday so I am leaving it up.
