Kelly Clark's Pink Pear

Really this orangey red
Before I stitch this entire section, I wanted you to see that it is this color.  Kelly painted it that way.  I like the contrast with the soft pinks, so I chose this overdyed Threadworx to stitch it.

With Neon Rays added

I finished stitching the orangey red part.  The stripes were filled with Neon Rays.  I need to go to The Needle Works and find a Bijoux thread or something as fine to stitch over the Neon Rays.

Lower left section

I love the fan shaped stitch, but I think I should have made it taller.  There is that little space at the top.  I need  to put on my needlepoint thinking cap.
Ready to add the Bijoux

  2. Beads. Put beads along the top of the scallops. Or take another fine thread and redo the stitching on top but make that second layer longer. You could have a two layer scallop. Or make a button hole stitch edge at the top. Lots of alternatives. I love coming up with ways to fix a "mistake."

I have this same canvas with Kelly's stitch guide. I think I am going to have to get it started thanks to you.
