ANU-Day 3

Apron
Overview with apron in
Crow in border
Lots of finished border at the bottom
The last day was lots of taking out for me.  I did finish the border across the bottom.  I started on the hat and the apron.  I love the apron.  Perfect for my witch.  I will show you progress as I make some.
I had the best time and look forward, rather desperately, to my next visit to Memphis and Amy's Golden Strand.

  2. Why don't you come in June? There will be three fun and seriously committed stitchers from Montgomery. We will have a blast! Your piece is fabulous and I can't wait to see it happen.

    1. I heard the Alabama delegation is wild and crazy fun. What would have to happen to convince my husband I deserve another trip only three months after the last one?

    1. What is going on in Baltimore? Something fun? I got to bring home my guide and thread kit for the Thanksgiving House. The Evertites weren't in and the canvases would not fit well in my suitcase, so Jill is mailing when ready. That roof is a big ol' thing. Lots and lots of thread. Can't wait to get to it! Safe travels.

    3. Sounds like fun. I remember Julia from when she was a little girl. Her mom worked at the store that I shopped at and Julia would come in after school. Small world.

  4. Nice job Steph. It always amazes me how much stitching you get done. I'm jealous as to how much stitching time you get. I'm really enjoying watching you stitch Helowise.

    1. Don't be jealous. Be stitching. Even though I have only one child left at home, I still spent a lot of time waiting and watching. I try to stitch while watching and waiting. Glad you like Helowise. She is a cutie and should stitch up quick.

  5. Hi, Steph - I saw where Melissa commented on one of your border photos on Facebook. Isn't it exciting when THE designer (IMHO) comments on your work? You have accomplished a lot on Helowise in a small amount of time. Do you have any thoughts on how you will have her finished? I want to finish her as a stand up and stitch another of the fairy tale witches who faces left so that I have a pair that face each other. I will probably get Luella like Linda just did. Enjoy your stitching!

  6. Oh, yes. I feel like I have been touched by royalty. Anne Bloom commented on my Melissa Shirley Cream Farmhouse by mentioning me, Melissa Shirley, and Amy Bunger in one sentence. One of the proudest moments of my life.
Helowise will be a stand up. I think she may be the only I do. I saw Luella being stitched up by my friend, Julie. Very cute. She is the one with the snake.
