Kelly Clark Creche

Door to the inn
The door is done in satin stitch with a very clever handle.

  1. Hi Steph,
Love the handle. Amy is just totally amazing.
Have a wonderful time in Memphis. Looking forward to your reports from Memphis.

  2. Hi Steph,

I too love what you are doing. I think what I enjoy most about stitch guides, regardless of who wrote them, is that you always learn something new that you can use again and again on other pieces. Though I have to admit, learning from Amy does make me a better stitcher!

  3. Wish me luck with the reporting. I can't wait to try. Isn't the door handle clever? It is a slide bullion done with Kreinik. After you very carefully create the buillon knot, you tack it down up by "the throat" to create the door handle. I love it.

  4. Awesome, love all aspects of the door. What thread is that for the door itself?

  5. Threadworx 1036. Two strands is what the stitch guide called for, but I am tempted to go to three.
