Houston is a fun destination

A few Swans went to Houston last Monday for studio time with the wonderful Carolyn Baird.  I bought this Heartstrings carrot at Chaparral and, of course, started it.  I love their whole series of fruit.

We had to stop by The Needle House and everything was 20% off.  I had to add to my Easter ornament collection.  So cute pink egg from Danae.

You may remember my Boston trip ornament.  We went at spring break to visit schools and I did manage to get to The Stitch Boutique.  Carolyn gave me this idea for the bushes.  She pulled the thread as well.  I love it.

I got ideas for other pieces and will show that tomorrow.  Happy Stitching!

  1. Hey, I might have bumped into you on Monday at Needle House, if I had actually managed to get there-- was planning on coming in Monday morning but instead my day got hijacked by an air conditioner repairman! :(

  3. What a cute idea for a carrot! Who would have thought a carrot could be so charming? This post reminded me I want to order one of the swan boat ornaments. Do you still have the shop info? ~ Sarah

    1. Me, too! We just ran in for Ruth to drop off some finishing. In the 15 minutes we were there, I managed to find this cutie.
