I used three strands of silk to basketweave the background. I used Neon Rays to do Rhodes Hearts. I used #8 Kreinik to do the strap stitches. I can't decide whether or not to put beads in the center or just stitch.
Really, really pretty! I am going to stitch all day at my LNS where Julia Snyder is working with a group of us on stitch guides! How fabulous a day is that?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a wonderful day. I remember Julia from when she was a little girl hanging around the shop in Dallas where her Mom worked. Have a great time! Want to see the results posted someday soon.
ReplyDeleteAdd some beads! She is royal, after all.
ReplyDeleteI spent last weekend with Julia when she taught in Atlanta - she's so much fun and I have a fabulous Brenda Stofft bunny stitch guide. I am planning to work on it this weekend.
Also looking forward to a trip to Amy's in March, Steph!

Beads it is! I would love to take a class from Julia some day soon. In the meantime I am waiting impatiently to go to Memphis. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteSwarovski crystal beads! 5000 round/2mm would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteSuch a charmer! I agree, beads for the royal miss. ~ sarah
ReplyDeleteI am going bead shopping now!
ReplyDeleteIt won't be really soon because it is a BIG stocking!
