She has her blouse and scarf on |
Getting my girl dressed. This is the canvas I went to class for at ANU. She is coming along. I am not sure I like the round stitch on the skirt. You can see I tried a Florentine Spike at the top. I am still thinking about it.
Always thinking! She looks really good! Did you use a satin stitch for the shoes/boots?
ReplyDeleteYes, my dear, diagonal satin for the boot and horizontal satin for the tongue. Do you like?
ReplyDeleteSteph, I love the round stitch for her skirt, I was in awe when I saw it. It is beautiful and you stitched it so well. Don't change it
ReplyDeleteToo late. Couldn't compensate, but used it on the pumpkins. Have a great time on your retreat!
DeleteHelowise is looking lovely, Steph! That stitch on her skirt looks like the devil as far as compensating goes. I really like the way the apron looks. Too bad there isn't a stitch for the skirt that would be a little heavier but similar to that. Whatever you go with, I'm sure it will look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJust to clarify what I meant in my earlier comment - the stitch used in the skirt must be very difficult to compensate. I hope it didn't sound like I meant your stitching looked like the devil - lol!
ReplyDeleteI knew exactly what you meant. And sometimes my stitching does look like the devil. I love the stitch but thought that it overwhelmed all the other stitching. I used it on the pumpkin and looks good. Are you working on the banner background?
DeleteHi Steph,
ReplyDeleteIn Amy's March Newsletter, she showed another stitch for the skirt. It is on page eleven in the Newsletter and it is Pillars Variation. A picture of it stitched on Helowise is also shown, so you can see how it looks.
Helowise is really looking great.
