Melissa Shirley's Thanksgiving House

Back door

Turkey by the back door

I had to figure out how to rotate my upside down photo of the back door.  I love the pies cooling on the stoop.  Can you just imagine what Amy is going to do with the turkey?  Can't wait!

Progress on the roof
This blog may get deadly dull for the next few days.  I am trying to catch up on the roof.  Sunday night I went from 51 shingles to 67.  There are 141 on each side!  Also, we have figured out the length necessary for my daughter's belt, so there will be a lot of basketweaving going on.  However, you know how I jump around.  We'll see what comes next.

  1. My shingles count went from none to none, lol. It is beautiful Steph. Had a busy weekend, not much stitching done but yesterday I got the best goft ever - my daughter came home from college on vacation. Doesn't get better than this

    1. Amy just writes the best stitch guides. I would have just satin stitched them all. How boring would that have been?

  4. Stephanie,

This is going to be spectacular when it is done. You have a lot more drive than I do when it comes to big projects. I'm sure you will do a beautiful job and I can wait to see your progress.

    1. Aren't you the one with the 30" nutcracker? Don't talk to me about drive, you got it all.
